全球研究均顯示護理師經常遭受語言霸凌。在馬來西亞,護理師對於語言霸凌之議題更是抱著司空見慣的心態來面對。本研究的核心宗旨即為探討馬來西亞私立醫院之護理師對於語言霸凌的認知研究。本研究採取質性研究作為研究方法的基礎。透過立意取樣,邀請了五位目前任職於馬來西亞私立醫院並且至少擁有兩年私立醫院職場經驗的護理師,以半結構深度訪談的方式,了解受害者本身遭受語言霸凌的認知與經驗。訪談分為三個面向探討,其中即為護理師對於語言霸凌的認知、語言霸凌為其所帶來的負面影響,以及其應對之道。本研究之資料處理與分析方式會先將訪談內容轉換成逐字稿,再以開放性譯碼的方式分析訪談內容,並且尋找譯碼之中所蘊含的建構關聯性與架

構來建造主題。此過程將不斷的重複以生成理論。本研究結果顯示護理師對於語言霸凌相關議題之知識有「缺乏」與「生疏」之現象。本研究亦發現語言霸凌已成為一種文化形態,而如此則直接導致醫院單位對於護理師遭受語言霸凌長時間表現出默許的態度。雖然研究結果亦表現出護理師對於語言霸凌持著一體兩面的認知,但結果則清楚表明語言霸凌為護理師們帶來的負面影響包含了身心靈的創傷以及加劇本就已相當惡劣的工作環境等。除此以外,本研究亦發現構成語言霸凌文化的因素包含導師與學徒制度、護理專業不受重視、護理師與醫師間因職業區別而有的階級差異,以及管理階層的劣質領導能力。最後根據研究結果及討論,本研究作者建議護理師應以個體為目標提升

自我。而醫院組織應實施相關的培訓課程和教育計畫以確立護理師以及大眾對於語言霸凌的認知。最後,本作者給予未來欲進行相關研究之研究者之建議有:第一、從不同族裔以及文化背景之護理族群對於言語霸凌認知的方面進行研究和探討;第二、探討馬來西亞不同地理區域的護理師對於言語霸凌認知的差異;第三、契約護理師以及約聘護理師之間對於語言霸凌之認知立場比較;第四、探究醫院組織對於語言霸凌事件的認知和著墨深度。
